It’s officially summer! Here are four easy things you can do at home to get into the summer mood.
1. Cut Up Some Fruit
Take advantage of all the fruits that are in season in the summer. My personal favorites are watermelon, peaches, and citrus fruits. Fruits are the healthiest, and most refreshing snack, so feel free to eat as much of nature’s candy as you want.
2. Live in a Bikini
Even if you don’t live right next to the beach, you can still pretend like you do. Lounge around in your favorite bikini, going back and forth from the pool, the lake, the ocean, the garden hose… (whatever keeps you cool in the summer heat!)
3. Have a Pool Party with Floaties
A pool party with fun floaties is a must. The bigger and sillier the floaties, the better. You can never have enough! Make sure to play your favorite summer jams, too.
4. Put a Flower in Your Hair
The easiest way to make you feel like you’re on a tropical island (other than actually being on one) is to stick a tropical flower in your hair. Not only is it an instant pick-me-up, but it’s the perfect beach girl accessory. Win-win.
